Family matters, social media Carousels, the future of events, and heads up: vacation time!

My mom turned 80 this year. She is amazingly smart, beautiful, funny, clever and a force to be reconed with. She’s amazing! She’s the best mom in the world.

It was about time the world knew. I lost my dad to stomach cancer back in 2012, so having her around is really big blessing. We got together with most of the family at an Airbnb in Camarillo, CA. We took the opportunity to take a few family pictures. I hope we to do this again next year and many more after that.

Social Media Carousels:

When it comes to social media, one has to find the best way to socialize with the world and present ideas in a cohesive and interesting way. Images, videos and carousels are the most common posts, however, they are not very easy to make. I will teach you how to make carousels for Instagram and LinkedIn.

In order to make carousels one must attach several images to a post. On the Instagram home page, click on the “+ symbol”> select more photos>select the symbol to the right on the infinity symbol> and then re-select the images you want to show making sure you select them in the order you would like to show them. Hit “next” and proceed to writing your post.

HERE is my Instagram account so you can see some of my carousels. Dont forget to follow me!

For the longest time I thought that to show several “pages” on LinkedIn all you could do was to post videos. But now I know how to make an interactive carousel post.

Create a square pdf with several pages. Then, go to the top of the LinkedIn feed, click on create a post, click on the “file symbol” next to image and video symbols, chose your pdf and proceed to writing your post.

Or, like for so many of my clients, I can create social media content for you. Just let me know by emailing me.

The Future of events

Forbes posted a great article about the future of events in 2021. “The event industry has been turned upside down by the global pandemic. Some in the industry have completely folded, while others have been forced to pivot to virtual offerings. While switching up your entire event model is never an easy decision, the cost of waiting (or, in other words, doing nothing) is much greater. This year has exposed almost everyone to virtual events, and a hybrid model is now emerging. This model will likely stick around, even after restrictions have been lifted. KEEP READING…

Heads Up: I'm going on Vacation!!

Many of you know that last year my husband and I were going to go to Hawaii for our 15th year Wedding Anniversary, but due to Covid, those plans had to be canceled. We are trying again this year! God willing, we will be going to Hawaii, for our 16th year anniversary.

May 27 – June 11, 2021. (Please plan your design projects accordingly)

Two weeks of sweet, sweet paradise. We are going to the island of Oahu. First timers here, so any tips or ideas will be awesome.

And don’t worry, if needed, I’ll have my associate ready to help during the two weeks I’m gone.
